Services Covered by This Policy
SetupBridge provides two independent Telegram bots, each with a different function:
- @SetupBridgeBot — the archiving bot: lets you archive messages and files from Telegram groups to your own Google Drive. This bot uses OAuth 2.0 to connect to your Google account.
- @SetupGroupsBot — the group management bot: provides advanced group management tools such as welcoming members, managing permissions, and scheduling messages. This bot does not connect to Google Drive and requests no Google permissions.
First: @SetupBridgeBot — The Archiving Bot
Data We Collect
- Telegram ID (User ID): to identify your account within the bot.
- Group ID: to apply the archiving settings specific to each group.
- OAuth access token: encrypted, used only to upload to your own Google Drive.
- Google email address: shown to you for confirmation when connecting, and never stored on our servers.
Google Drive and OAuth
The bot uses Google's official OAuth 2.0 protocol to obtain limited access to your Google Drive.
Access is limited to the files and folders the bot creates inside a setupbridge/ folder in your own Drive,
and it does not have permission to access any other files.
You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account settings or from within the bot by disconnecting Drive.
Second: @SetupGroupsBot — The Group Management Bot
Data We Collect
- Telegram ID (User ID & Group ID): to apply the management settings specific to each group.
- Group settings: such as welcome messages, schedules, and permissions — stored only on our secure servers.
What We Don't Do — For Both Bots
- ❌ We never sell your data to any third party.
- ❌ We don't read the content of your messages beyond what's needed to execute the specific request.
- ❌ We don't use your data for advertising or marketing.
- ❌ We don't keep copies of your files on our servers (for @SetupBridgeBot — everything is uploaded directly to your own Drive).
Data Security
- Connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on the server.
- Message content is not logged in system logs.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you remain an active user. If you request deletion of your data, we will erase all information linked to your account within 30 days.

Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. You will be notified of any material changes directly through the bot. Continuing to use the service after an update constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
